Another month, another Hot or Not post from The Body Shop in Malta. Mainly from these posts I'm learning that I shop there too much, but I hope some of the mini reviews have been helpful to someone somewhere at least!

The Body Shop: The Hot List

I had a good month this month and out of the seven products mentioned, a whopping 5 made it onto my hot list! Read on to find out which ones, and why!

DSCN1324

Coconut Hand Cream

I love The Body Shop hand creams. My hands get really dry and feel horrible and uncomfortable, so I always have a hand cream in my bag, wherever I go, and a hand cream on my desk, but with most products I have to apply it two or three times before my hands feel good again..not with this stuff! One application and my hands feel moisturised and soft for most of the day. It's not greasy or oily, sinks in well, so no slippery hands! I only have to use this once or twice a day and I'm golden. All this is topped off by the fact that it smells amazing and lingers on the hands for the rest of the day, not over powering, but giving a gentle whiff of coconut (and holidays!) every now and again.

Strawberry Hand Cream

This is the exact same quality as the coconut version above, so I don't really have anything new to add. The strawberry offering also smells amazing, incredibly fruity and juicy and not at all sickly, or perfumey, as some strawberry scents can be.

Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray

"A summer essential, this cooling spray refreshes hot, tired feet and combats odour" and I could not agree more. This is a life saver in the hot months. A combination of humid, sticky heat, long walks (terrible transport service!) and uncomfortable new sandals means this is something you need in your bag. It feels amazing to spritz this on when you're feet are tired and achey, there is no better feeling. It smells fresh and clean so is great for people who worry about foot odour- now there is no reason not to get your tootsies out!

Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash

The Body shop state that this is 'the perfect wake-up call for blemished skin. Use daily for a velvety-soft cleanse with a blast of cool freshness.' Absolutely. This is cooling and tingly on the skin, acting as a lovely blast of freshness in the morning, to really wake yourself up. Do not use it on your eyes however- it will sting to buggery. Don't do it. I use this every morning by massaging into damp skin, then gently removing with a face cloth to give a little exfoliation. It'll leave your face a bit pink but once you've popped on your moisturiser you'll be good to go. It really soothes your face when it's sore with spots, helps to keep them under control and leaves your face smooth and squeaky clean.

Early Harvest Raspberry Body Lotion

OH MY GOD. I love The Body Shop body lotions; all the ones I've tried have been wonderfully moisturising for the whole day, so it's the smell that determines whether it makes the hot or not list. If the smell is blegh, then I wont buy it again, as there are so many other scrummy ones to choose from.

I will absolutely, 100% be getting this one again. It. Smells. Divine. I look forward to applying this- I use it after a bath or shower and always before bed and it makes the entire room smell fruity and delicious. It makes your skin smell good enough to eat (but don't).

The Body Shop: The Not List

So that leaves two products that I didn't fall in love with and wont be repurchasing. Read on to see why I didn't like these items!

Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

I don't hate the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil, I just found it didn't quite live up to my beloved Bioderma micellar water. At first I found this oil really hard work and was having to scrub hard at my eyes to get the layers and layers of mascara off (I like big lashes!) but I soon realised I just wasn't using enough. With 3 pumps, I'm able to fairly easily and gently get all my makeup off, I just find it's more of a hassle than the Bioderma. It takes a bit of massaging and has to be washed off very thoroughly afterwards to get the oil off. It works, it's just not a lazy girls dream!

Pink Grapefruit Body Mist

I really liked the Pink Grapefruit Body Lotion scent, I found it fruity and fresh, but this is way too sharp. I find it softens a while after application but for the first ten minutes it really gets up your nose and makes you cringe. The scent also doens't linger at all, unlike some of their other offerings which last for ages, this needs to be constantly reapplied, which, with such a harsh initial scent, is not ideal!
