Vouchercloud in Malta

Over the past year or so a load of deal and voucher websites for Malta have sprung up all over the place. A lot of it is crap and after having a nose around some of them I pretty much steered clear- until I came across vouchercloud. They're an international brand (click here for the UK website) which I personally think gives them a bit more credibility and a stronger presence and power. Their deals are much better than most of the other deal websites and they have the best mobile app of them all.

You can download the app for free and can either select your country or use location services and it'll pop up with all deals that are near you. It's great for when you visit different parts of the island as the local participants will show up and because it's international you can use it when you are abroad too! Whenever we go away we try a discounted restaurant or two. They have loads of cafes and restaurants involved such as Ta Kris, Oblico Cafe (which I hate), Ftira Cafe, Blue Elephant, Hugo's (20% off food!). There are discounts at local bars like Fuego, Soho and Golden Ham and even the shops get involved- Wallis, OVS, Evans, Topshop, Topman and NYX to name a few.

One of my favourite offers they run pretty regularly is for Toni & Guy hairdressing. They frequently work together and offer a 50% discount for a cut and blow dry for men (€20 down to €10) and women (€40 down to €20), plus various other offers for different treatments. I always wait for the offer to pop up to go and get my hair done. I find that most salons I've visited on the island have been pretty unskilled and twice I've had my hair totally butchered. I still wouldn't say I'm 100% happy with Toni & Guy here, my layers are a little blunt and don't blend in quite as well as you'd expect from such a top brand and I can never get over how FLAT the blow dry is... I always ask for straight but it's literally slicked down to my head, but nothing a bit of salt spray and jujjing can't fix.

For €20 you get a pretty reliable cut and a blow dry you can work with. I definitely wouldn't pay the full price for one but the offer runs pretty much permanently from Mondays to Thursdays so next time you need a trim, lunch, dinner, a drink or some new garms, make sure you check out the voucherloud app/website.
