Love Your Body: The Body Shop in Malta

I love The Body Shop in Malta. I've liked almost everything I've ever tried, I love their ethos and do-gooding and I love that most of the time they don't rip us € countries off with shitty exchange rates.

I recently treated myself to , what felt like, half the store! I went around sniffing everything and getting my hands in all the testers, one arm scented with raspberries, the other with peach, my hair smelt of Shea perfume, my hands of absinthe, but I finally settled on a few items to get my face and body summer ready!

Vineyard Peach Creamy Body Scrub- this smells divine, exactly like fresh juicy peaches. It's a cream and kernel based exfoliator rather than sugar and oil so it doesn't leave you oily or slimy. It's quite abrasive so you must be careful and gentle when scrubbing and do not put this on your face. It's perfect for the body, washes off completely, so just leaves you soft and smooth and smelling like a delight. I focus on my legs, shoulders and elbows to make sure not a single dry patch is left.

Vineyard Peach Body Lotion- they have this scent in the body lotion or the body butter. I love feeling hydrated but I think the butters may be a little thick for the summer time. The lotion is just perfect, again it smells incredible but it's light and hydrating. I slather this all over my body after every shower or bath and just before bed. The scent is perfect for summer, refreshing and fruity and my skin feels so good after using the scrub then this.

My skin is giving me nightmares right now so I got a few bits to kick it into shape. The Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash is literally the perfect item for summer. It's so cooling and leaves your face tingling, perfect after a day in the heat. I use this every morning to wake me up (avoiding the eye area) and then every night before bed to cool my face down and get it squeaky clean. Every evening I then layer on the Tea Tree Blemish Control Night Lotion so whilst I'm sleeping it can get to work on any pesky blemishes or acne scars. Then once a week to keep my skin bright and alive I use the Vitamin C Microdermabrasion. This is mega abrasive so should only be used 2ce a week at most and should be rubbed into the face very gently. I go for once a week and find this helps refresh my skin, keep it looking plump and clear, reduces black heads and generally makes it look and feel so much smoother.

Then last but not least the Shea Hand Cream. This smells delicious, is light but not oily and comes in a tiny plastic tube which is perfect for your handbag. I find this perfectly hydrating on my constantly dry hands.

As I was paying for my haul, the women introduced me to the 'Love Your Body' card. I was sold.  In The Body Shop in Malta it costs €10 but this is much cheaper in the UK (just £5!). It entitles you to 10% off all purchases, a free gift worth up to €10 (I believe you can chose anything you like and pay the difference) on your birthday and each time you shop you get a stamp for every €10 you spend, then when you hit a certain number of stamps you get a free gift of €10 to spend too. If you shop at the Body Shop regularly then £5 or €10, I think it's definitely worth the money.

Note: you can only get up to 2 stamps in one day so if you want to to a huge shop, split it into €40 over a few days!

I was not asked to do this post, it is not sponsored in any way and I bought everything I own with my own money. Body Shop have never sent me anything or invited me to any events (boo!) I just genuinely love them and wanted to share that love!
