I go through periods where I just want to write constantly, even though I might not necessarily have anything productive to say. I’m in one of those periods. I feel super inspired and really keen to open a new post and get writing but with no particular subjects in mind. Sometimes I think the rambling posts are fun though, I can share a little of what I’ve been up to and show you some of the snaps I’ve been taking.
As ever, my phone is filled with sunset in Malta snaps. As summer comes, the sunset gets later and later, so I’m not sitting at work missing it, I can enjoy a cold drink by the sea, or a read by the water in the evening, just watching the sunset falling behind the buildings, illuminating the sky all manner of colours. It’s remarkable how intensely the sky can glow and just how different one day can look from the next.
Lunch in the sun is essential right now. It’s the perfect time, warm enough to sit out without a coat or jumper, but not so hot that it’s uncomfortable. It’s perfect if you can find a spot in the sun, with a view of the water and not too close to the road. No one wants a side of exhaust fumes with their coffee and baguette. It’s a nice way to break the day up and soak up a little extra sunshine.
In summer I always feel like I can be a little ‘sillier’ with my nails. I adore nail polish, it’s one of my great loves in life and I feel like we have two hands and 10 fingers so why stick to just one polish at a time? These two I picked up in Chain Foodstore at Tigne Point, just €2.99 each, I was very impressed. Not only are they quite new releases but I’m quite sure that’s cheaper than in the UK, bosh!
