Malta: Moving On, Up & Away

Dining & Drinking

Finding a good restaurant, cafe or cocktail bar in Malta can be a bit overwhelming as there is simply so much choice and such a varied range of quality. I feel like Malta must have one of the highest concentrations of bars, cafes and restaurants but finding a good one can be really tough. Anytime I try somewhere new in Malta, I try and write a review so here I have collected all my Malta restaurant reviews, Malta bar reviews and Malta cafe reviews to help you find the best place to try next.

Make sure to miss out on the classic tourist traps; they aren’t as bad here in Malta as in some countries where you are likely to be hit with an astronomic bill unexpectedly. Here, all prices are clearly marked but in popular spots you’ll find places that simply don’t live up to their price tags. Eating and drinking in Malta is incredibly cheap, if you are smart and go to the right places it can be just as cheap to eat out as to eat in every night!

Find the best bars, cafes and restaurants in Malta to suit your needs. Looking for an upmarket bar? A cheap and cheerful restaurant where the service is good? Whatever you’re after, Malta will have it so read my full and frank reviews to find the best place for you.

Joe and I eat out a lot and we are disappointed 90% of the time. Service is generally bad in Malta and food is usually microwaved, bland and overpriced. So suffice to say we did not hold high hopes when we walked in Basilico which is part of The Waterfront ...
