The move. The move date was meant to be tomorrow. Bel Air took us to a load of really great properties but unfortunately at this time Joe and I just could not agree. Once he saw a few in our new lower budget he realised that maybe he doesn’t want to compromise on interior (to save money) after all. And then I just felt that if we were going to increase the budget and spend the same, why not stay where we are? As our flat is just perfect. So we spoke to our landlord and although I had it in my head that it had been taken, he advised us the apartment was still free so we’re staying! I feel horrible for making Niki do so much work for us and I hope he’s not too frustrated!
Joe’s nanny has arrived just in time for Christmas. She comes to stay with us fairly frequently for 3-5 weeks at a time. She’s the funniest person I ever met, last night we were teaching her the Gangnam Style dance- she is in her 80′s and she was boogying like Psy himself! She’s great. Not least because she can’t sit still for a moment and ends up doing all my housework although I don’t love finding all my recycling (separated into bags for plastic, tin and card) poured into one big bag to save space… oh dear!
The apartment is nice and Christmassy. We got a few extra decorations from Tal Lira to make it extra festive so I am well and truly into the Christmas spirit. We have some people coming over on Christmas Eve for some mulled wine and mince pies, then on Christmas Day we have some of Joe’s family (who just moved here- hey guys!) coming over for Christmas dinner. I’ve made my cranberry sauce ready, I will make the gravy tonight and freeze it… and maybe tomorrow I’ll buy the turkey (left it pretty late this year!). I’m thinking a small turkey and a gammon joint to give a bit of variety.

Tonight I need to do a little more Christmas shopping to make sure everyones gifts are sorted- my favourite part of Christmas is getting gifts for my friends and family and wrapping them and hoping they will love them!
And today… I’m drinking champagne in the office to celebrate a great year and some amazing growth at the company recently. I’ll drink to that!

Love your wrapping paper, and I’m glad you’re staying in a place that makes you happy
