It’s that time of year again! I think it’s really important to promote shopping on the island rather than doing it all online. I know it can be hard as it’s a small island and a lot of things aren’t available here so if there is something specific you need/want then online shopping can sometimes be unavoidable but there are so many great things on the island too, you sometimes just have to look for them.
One of my absolute favourite shops is Mil Ideas. I’ve linked their facebook page although it hasn’t been updated since July but they don’t have a website- get with the times guys! But social media aside, the shop is just darling. They have a store in Sliema about halfway up the hill that leads to Topshop and one in Valletta. If there are more then do let me know!

They sell cute things for the house- cushions, blankets, vases, lamps, mirrors and ornaments. There is a big shabby chic and oriental feel to most of their products, very on trend but classic. They also have a number of other great gifts such as candles, bath bombs, incense, jewellery, scarves, wall prints and the most adorable piggy bank style money boxes.

This is a great place to look for secret santa gifts as they sell the kind of things that everyone will like. For a woman you can’t really go wrong with a luxurious scarf at this time of year and there are a number of patterns or plain ones if you’re not sure on taste. Candles and picture frames are always winners. Or for your friends you could get them a plush cushion or blanket that fits in with their apartment decoration. And something that works for men and women- a stylish picture frame with photos of good times you’ve shared together- personal and meaningful!

I’m in love with their Christmas tree baubles and will be picking up a few on payday to add even more magic to my tree! My favourite blanket is from Mil Ideas and its so soft and warm and has been going for over a year now, and we also have a few of their sofa cusions, a ‘LOVE’ ornament that sits on my dresser and a metallic vase we’ve covered in fairy lights (see them all here). In fact, whenever we want to jazz up our apartment Mil Ideas is our first stop because their products are much more reasonably priced than other home decor shops on the island.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this shop? Thanks for sharing! It looks like they have some pretty amazing stuff :)
